COMPUTER SIMULATION PROGRAMS AND SPEED CALCULATION PROGRAMS
These computer programs were written in the 1970's for the Federal Government to do highway safety research.
Programs were validated by twelve two-vehicle crash tests.
Physics Laws are in these computer programs. These computer programs have error messages. If the analysis is not in compliance with the laws of motion an error message appears.
Error message is very important safeguard in computer programs.
One computer program calculates speed. It does so by conservation of momentum or crush damage analysis plus post impact travel, depending on the impact configuration.
The other computer program simulates traffic accidents. It can test theories on accident causation and vehicle speeds advanced by various witnesses and parties. It can also demonstrate a correct solution.
Both of these programs are accepted in court and provide very good visual graphics of the accident as shown by examples on this website.
